Software Engineer (d/f/m) - Embedded

Wien
Full-time
Permanent employee
55,000 - 70,000 € per year

Your mission

We are a young, innovative software development team specialising in space systems - and we’re continuing to grow! As we set up our second location in Vienna, we’re launching a brand-new embedded software team and are looking for you, an embedded software engineer, to help shape it from the very start.

Here you can expect exciting projects, modern technologies and the chance to develop hardware-oriented solutions for the space industry in an agile environment with flat hierarchies.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Developing hardware-oriented software for embedded systems with a focus on real-time operating systems (e.g. RTEMS).
  • Requirements analysis and technical conception, including the creation of requirements specifications, architectures (e.g. UML) and technical documentation.
  • Ensuring code quality through testing, code reviews and the application of best practices.
  • Verification and validation (V&V) of the software, from implementation through to release.
  • Collaboration in agile Scrum teams - working closely with colleagues from development, testing and project management.

Your profile

  • A degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Technical Informatics or a comparable qualification.
  • Expertise in software development in C, Embedded C, C++ or Rust, and experience with bus systems (e.g. SpaceWire, UART, CAN, Ethernet, etc.), ideally working to standards (e.g. ECSS).
  • Practical experience with debugging tools (JTAG, SWD, logic analyzer), software architectures and development processes.
  • Knowledge of Git and CI/CD.
  • An independent, structured working style combined with team spirit, excellent English and good German language skills.

What we offer

  • 38.5 hours full-time, paid in line with the IT collective agreement (ST1), with a willingness to pay above the standard rate depending on professional experience and qualifications.
  • Flexible working hours with up to 60% remote working.
  • A small but excellent team with no unnecessary overhead, short lines of communication and the opportunity to create real added value.
  • 32 vacation days that you don’t have to apply for a year in advance.
  • Two out of three benefits: a company bike, company fitness or a subsidy for public transport; as well as a company pension plan.

Sounds interesting, but your CV doesn’t tick all the boxes yet? Apply anyway! Questions? Just ask. You can reach us at jobs@tenics.de. We look forward to your application!
